Requirements: This trip has been rated medium/hard due to the time of year we are going. We are expecting rain, perhaps even snow, which means the tracks can be unpredictable. Experience driving in a range of conditions is essential. Participants must have a working winch, snorkel, aggressive AT’s (as a bare minimum), standard recovery gear and rated recovery points. A rear locker would be desirable.

Note: We will be camping in swags or tents. Off-road campers may be a possibility. Make sure you have plenty of warm clothes, as well as a good sleeping bag!

The aim of this trip is to check out some of Tasmania’s 4WD tracks, as well as do some touring around the state. We will head North West first, then drive down the West Coast to Queenstown. From Queenstown we will drop down into the Hobart area before heading back up the East Coast. We are planning on doing a variety of tracks from beach driving to inland, so be prepared to encounter sand, mud, rocks, quicksand, water etc. As well as 4WDing, there will be plenty of time to check out some of Tasmania’s tourist attractions.

Please note, if you are not experienced in beach driving, you will be asked to attend the Beachport trip being run over the Easter school holidays.
